CASE STUDY: BEHAVIORAL DIFFERENCES
MMP Limited Company is an auto parts manufacturer has recently experienced a new breed of leadership which appears to distort the previous work ethics and relationships among employees. The arrival of Margaret as the CEO finds a workplace dominated by a male workforce, 75% in total, who incidentally, are all immigrants from West Africa. Notably, the workforce views the culture in the company as being inclined to family- like engagement, and in some cases few employees are couples. Consequently, certain aspects like the variation in salary between men and women are imminent but the members are comfortable with the variance. Suddenly, emotional spirits and behaviors get ignited when the new CEO announces the commencement of a project aimed at achieving equality in the workplace and hence proposes on unifying the working conditions of both genders. The owner of the company had quit from the management position and entrusted the mandate to Margaret who was to be the manager and be responsible for significant decisions within the company
