The rules on Stuvia exist to keep our platform fair and reliable for everyone. Here's exactly what you can and cannot do while using our platform.

You may only sell documents that you own the copyright to. When uploading, you declare that you created the material yourself and aren't committing plagiarism. The Copyright Checklist explains what is and isn't allowed. The Notice & Takedown procedure describes what happens if violations occur.

It is prohibited to:

  • Sell complete books, presentation slides, or other work from your teacher/professor
  • Unlawfully use logos, images, tables, or graphics that belong to others

Privacy and personal data violations

Don't include privacy-sensitive information or personal data of others in your documents. This includes reports, files, and records with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as patient data, names, addresses, or birth dates. If you violate privacy rules, we may remove your document(s) from the platform.

What can you use purchased documents for?

Purchased documents are intended only as study aids. The copyright remains with the creator. It is not permitted to incorporate (parts of) the document into your own work and submit it. This is considered plagiarism and may have consequences for your studies.
